Emergency First Aid
This course is designed to give individuals general knowledge in first aid and the skillls necessary to take action in an emergency. It acts as an introductory first aid course.
Course content includes: dealing with emergencies, body systems, accident prevention, heart disease and stroke, choking and CPR for adult, child and infant, first aid for bleeding and other minor injuries secondary tratment and follow up.
Course length: 8-10 hrs
Standard First Aid
This course is designed for healthcare professionals, individuals looking for comprehensive first aid knowledge or those that must satisfy Workplace Saftey Insurance Board (WSIB) requirement for their job.
Course content: all items from the Emergency First Aid course plus treatment of the following injuries: bone and joint, head and neck, sudden medical, heat and cold induced and soft tissue. Standard first aid also includes CPR and AED.
